Couples Therapy

I work with married, unmarried, straight and gay couples. By far, the biggest problem that I see in couples is that they wait too long before obtaining consultation on the relationship. Even for couples whose relationship is by most standards “healthy” regular check-ins can dramatically improve intimacy, communication, and security. In couples therapy, we address power struggles, ineffective communication, sexual disconnect and discontent, parenting issues and more.  Much of couples therapy is about taking responsibility for feelings and behaviors that contribute to a cycle of blame, shame, and guilt. I see a wide range of couples including those that are considering marriage, but have reservations to about getting and couples who have been married for many years.
